Books I Plan To Read This Month - July

Books To Read In July

I have three books I want to finish this month. I like to sit down and have a full day to read or do things, but since I have a job now, I just feel like I don't have time to do anything without having to rush or stop. When I start books I like to read them all day and finish them, I don't like dragging them out. But I already had one book and I bought two new ones to read, so I'm going to try to finish them this month so I can buy more books!

It's Kind Of A Funny Story
By: Ned Vizzini

I bought this book a few years ago at a Borders. This was a book that I bought just because of the cover. The cover of my book shows pictures from the movie and I'm sure I bought it because Zach Galifianakis was on it. Haha. I did end up liking it though, and since there was a movie I convinced my parents to take us to see it. I think we all liked the movie, but it was better for me because I read it and imagined everything in my own mind first. It's always cool to see how many things you pictured the same or different than the movie. The book is about a boy named Craig who worked really hard to get into a selective school. The stress gets to him and he stops eating and sleeping and almost kills himself, so he checks himself into a mental hospital. It's really good from what I remember. It's definitely worth checking out. I need to buy a new hardcover version of this book though.

Winger
by: Andrew Smith

I ordered this book from Amazon to get free shipping on my other stuff, but I've heard it was really good. By "heard" I mean that people on YouTube liked it and thought it was funny, so I thought I'd give it a chance. I love the book cover and the one I ordered is a hardcover which is amazing. The book is about a boy named Ryan who goes to a boarding school and plays rugby. I'm not really sure what all happens but he's in love with his best friend and is roomed with the biggest bully on the rugby team. It has hand-drawn info-graphics and illustrations. It's supposed to be funny and heartbreaking, so I guess we'll see after I read it! I'm actually really excited to read it now!

Serena
by: Ron Rash

This is the book I'm most excited about! We had to go to two Barnes & Nobles to find it. The book cover I got was the one pictured above in paperback. I prefer hardcover but it was all that they had, I can always order hardcover later. I read about this book online and I knew I needed to get it. It's a movie now which I will watch after I read the book! IMDb says that it comes out this year but it doesn't say when, or if it already came out. Jennifer Lawrence plays Serena and Bradley Cooper plays George. I'm very excited for it! The book (and movie) are about Serena and George Pemberton. They get married and go to the North Carolina mountains to build a timber empire. Serena learns that she can't have children, so she wants to murder the son that George had with someone else. Basically it's just insane and I'm so excited to read it. This book may become my all-time favorite book and maybe movie too! Watch out Little Miss Sunshine!

I will definitely make another post after I read these!
Thanks for reading! :)
